MODERN Tyres on Belgard Road are part of a company celebrating 50 years in business this year, having made a number of high profile acquisitions in recent times.
Last month, the company added Malahide Tyres to their portfolio, whilst one of it's largest acquisitions was the purchase of 11 Hanover Tyres branches in 2011.The company has grown to become one of Ireland's largest independent tyre retailers, with over 40 locations nation-wide.
The Belgard Road depot stocks an ex-tensive range of tyres, along with free safety checks for customers, and services for a range of motoring needs. Branch Manager Mark Kavanagh leads a highly skilled team in the Tallaght depot – which takes great pride from “an unrivalled level of customer service through the retail, fleet, commercial, agricultural and wholesale markets.Brands available at the Belgard branch include Bridgestone, Michelin,Goodyear, Dunlop, Pirelli, Continental, Kumho, Vredestein and Mohawk available.
“Good tyres and the correct tyre pressure are essential for road safety and fuel consumption,” said Mark. “We offer all motorists a free tyre safety check, as well as free wheel alignment, which lets motorists know the condition of their tyres, and in turn advice on the best options for the individual vehicle.”
Jimmy Byrne established the first Modern Tyre depot in Enniskillen in1965, and has retained a core family structure in the business, throughout major acquisitions north and south of Ireland.
Modern Tyres also offer computerised wheel alignment, brakes, exhausts, batteries, NCT servicing and headlight alignment. The depot has a comfortable waiting room with free Wifi service available to all customers
It is open from 8am-6pm Monday - Friday and 9am-5pm on Saturday.
