Exclusive Vehicle Safety Class For Ladies
Two of Northern Ireland's leading brands involved in the car industry - AXA Direct and Modern Tyre Services - have teamed up with the CT to offer ladies the opportunity to attend a unique class on the key elements of vehicle safety this summer.
Now is the ideal time to ensure your vehicle is in peak condition with increasing daily usage of cars in Northern Ireland and many people planning summer holidays that will involve long journeys.
This exclusive class will be solely for 20 lucky ladies and will allow attendees to get an insight and practical experience of the fundamentals of vehicle safety and basic maintenance.
It will cover tyre, water, oil, anti freeze and light checks and will also show ladies how to jack and change a tyre correctly.
And it promises to be a great evening of crack with a little bit of competition thrown in as well.
Stephen Shaw, Sales and Marketing Manager of Modern Tyre Services, said: ''Statistics show that people don't pay enough attention to vehicle safety, basic things like tread depth and tyre pressure which if left untreated can be very serious and also in some cases illegal. We have experience of organising similar classes and found that women thought they were very informative and enjoyable.''
Kerry Grange, Manager of AXA Direct, Belfast added: ''We are delighted to build on our association with Modern Tyre Services, which we also work with via the AXA Plus scheme. Both companies place a high importance on road safety and feel this class is the ideal platform for highlighting simple steps that people can take to ensure vehicle safety.''
The class will be held at Modern Tyre Services Boucher Road branch on Thursday 25 June from 7pm - 9pm. Those ladies lucky enough to win one of the 20 spaces available for the class will be treated to a short presentation on vehicle safety, followed by a demonstration and then practical experience in the 'Pit Stop Challenge' were teams will compete against each other. There will be a number of prizes up for grabs on the night including a fantastic AXA Plus break and each lucky lady attending will also get a goodie bag to take home.
